Science Curriculum 2021

Intent

We believe that Science underpins an individual’s understanding of the natural world through biology, chemistry and physics. Our curriculum which is based on Hampshire’s Key Ideas document, provides children with the knowledge and skills required to develop their enquiry. We also use guidance from the Teacher Assessment in Primary Science (TAPS) to help support coverage of the working scientifically skills set out in the National Curriculum. We strive to spark curiosity through awe and wonder and encourage application of their learned knowledge and skills to their own developing questioning.
