Our curriculum is underpinned by not only our Federation vision but also the Hampshire 10 curriculum principles that challenge and inspire. Our intent is to engage all children through a stimulating and relevant curriculum so that they are excited to learn and therefore develop a lifelong love of learning. We believe that learning should be context based and we use the Federated Learner to ensure an equity of learning.

How do we implement our curriculum?
Year teams have organised their curriculum around overarching themes such as Crime and Punishment, Gateway to the World and Land ahoy! These themes are all driven by one foundation subject and then natural links are made with other areas of the foundation and core curriculum subjects. Cross curricular writing opportunities are explored and planned enabling children to show their independent writing skills in a range of ways. Most foundation subjects use the Federated Enquiry wheel to develop higher order thinking and independence during the units of work.
