Resourced Provision for Speech, Language and Communication Needs
The Resourced Provision for Speech, Language and Communication needs is located at the heart of the school and provides places for 14 pupils with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP).
Currently the provision is divided into a Key Stage 1 Language Resource Base (LRB1) located in the infant area of the school and Key Stage 2 Language Resourced Provision (LRB2), is located in the junior part of the school. This allows for ease of integration with mainstream peers whenever possible.
Each day pupils access the LRB’s in the mornings to focus ion English and maths, as well as other activities, such as fine motor skills, circle time, attention autism, TAC PAC, social skills group and narrative groups. In the afternoon pupils have daily reading and spellings as well as Speech Therapy programmes.
Pupils are fully integrated into the life of the school and register with mainstream peers and always attend assemblies, activities and events as part as their mainstream class.
Pupils are well supported to access lessons in the afternoons and participate in day and residential trips.
The calm, secure and nurturing environment is ideal for pupils to grow in confidence and provides pupils with the support and high teaching ratios required to progress in all aspects of their learning and development.
