PE Premium and Sport Premium
We aim to provide high quality, fun and engaging P.E lessons to all children at the school. It is our intention to build a P.E curriculum that enables children to develop their knowledge and skills in a wide range of sporting activities, as well as developing the school’s values and transferable life skills such as teamwork, fairness and respect.
We aim to encourage children to try a range of sports and physical activities to promote a lifelong participation in sport. In KS2, children learn how to play a range of sports across the academic year. As children progress through KS2, different sports will be adapted or introduced, based on the children’s age, to ensure progression. In EYFS and KS1, children focus mainly on multi-skills, to ensure that they learn the fundamentals of P.E ahead of progressing to learn how to play sports in KS2.
During lessons, children are taught about the benefits and importance of being physically active as part of a healthy lifestyle.
Schools are required to publish details of how they spend the Primary PE and Sport Premium as well as on the impact it has on pupils’ PE and sport participation and attainment.
